Hampton Roads Transit is seeking a Content Creator to develop engaging digital content for social media and digital platforms. You will plan, produce, and edit photo, video, and graphic content to showcase transit services and community impact.

Join our Marketing and Strategic Communications team to support campaigns, promotions, and outreach. The role requires creativity, strong storytelling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience creating engaging digital content for social media
• Strong visual storytelling skills with photo and video
• Proficiency using smartphones and mobile editing
• Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and engagement strategies
• Understanding of short-form video production and best practices
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Willingness to appear on camera and represent the agency
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and content opportunities

Responsibilities

• Create original content for social media: photography, short-form video, graphics
• Capture content featuring transit services, facilities, employees, customers, and community partners
• Edit and optimize content for publication across platforms using mobile tools
• Develop scripts, storyboards, captions, and concepts supporting campaigns
• Produce content for campaigns, programs, and initiatives
• Coordinate filming during events and outreach activities
• Organize and maintain digital asset libraries for future use
