The City of Edmonds is seeking a Streets Technician to perform semi-skilled duties in the construction, maintenance and repair of city streets and related infrastructure. You will operate a variety of vehicles and equipment, assist with traffic control, and support stormwater systems maintenance.

New hires start around the mid-range and placement is based on qualifications and experience. This position is essential to keeping public rights of way safe and operational in Edmonds, WA.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of construction-related experience involving operation of equipment and tools.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, and storm systems preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may satisfy requirements.

Mansioni

• Maintain city streets, alleys, right-of-ways and sidewalks.
• Repair pavement and patch potholes.
• Install sign posts and drainage infrastructure.
• Perform traffic control duties and set up zones.
• Operate street machinery and equipment.
• Respond to weather-related emergencies and ice control.
