Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks a qualified Public Speaking/Communications instructor to deliver quality instruction and advise students in the Associate of Arts/Sciences programs. Responsibilities cover instructional development, teaching performance, student advisement, and instructional management within the Arts and Sciences division.

Reporting to the Division Dean for the Arts & Sciences, the instructor will develop curricula, teach courses with use of distance-learning

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Speech or Communications or closely related field.
• Experience in higher education instruction.
• Ability to use distance learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop curricula and advise on Public Speaking courses.
• Deliver courses and use distance learning tech.
• Assess student progress and participate in evaluations.
• Advise students and coordinate with Student Services.
• Represent division in community/professional meetings.
• Maintain division facilities and report on planning.
