Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks an English Instructor responsible to the Division Dean for Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences for delivering quality instruction and advising students in the AA, Humanities, and Social Sciences programs.

Responsibilities include instructional development, teaching performance, student advisement, professional development, college and community service, and instructional management.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with minimum of 18 graduate hours in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing English and communication curricula for all college programs.
• Teach courses as assigned and in accordance with established syllabi.
• Utilize distance learning technologies for at least one section annually.
• Provide high quality instruction in English and assess student progress.
• Advise and maintain records of assigned student advisees and provide effective academic advisement.
• Represent the Division and College by participating in community and professional meetings.
• Maintain office hours and collaborate with College divisions to meet student needs.

Education
