Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, janitorial, cleaning, facilities, hotel, or operational experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong time management, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, chemical handling, and hotel safety practices preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and service-focused mindset.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests, team members, and hotel leadership.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public spaces including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting rooms, fitness centers, restaurants, and guest-facing areas.
• Ensure public areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready throughout shifts.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sanitize, polish, and remove trash according to hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Replenish restroom supplies, cleaning products, towels, amenities, and operational items as needed.
• Monitor public areas for cleanliness, safety concerns, maintenance issues, and operational readiness throughout the day.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, housekeeping calls, and operational support needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, storage areas, carts, and cleaning equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, lost and found items, safety hazards, and operational issues promptly to leadership teams.
• Follow sanitation procedures, chemical handling guidelines, hotel safety policies, and operational standards at all times.
• Partner closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Help create clean, welcoming, and comfortable spaces aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
• Any other duties as assigned.
