Job summary

Block by Block is hiring a Cleaning Ambassador to keep public spaces clean and welcoming in the Minneapolis area. You will engage with passersby, provide directions, and perform outdoor cleaning tasks in an active street environment.

The role emphasizes safety, timely reporting, and strong communication in English, with full-time hours and weekly pay. Union benefits and uniforms are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have the physical capacity to walk or traverse continuously during an eight‑hour shift, with breaks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high visibility street-level cleaning across the assigned zone.
• Greet pedestrians and visitors, giving directions or city information as needed.
• Remove litter and graffiti, weed at tree wells and sidewalks, and tidy outdoor surfaces.
• Be watchful for unsafe activity and report to Safety Ambassadors as required.
• Complete basic daily task reports in English.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
