Job summary

Block by Block is hiring a Cleaning Ambassador to maintain clean public spaces and engage with community members in the Minneapolis area. You will perform street-level cleaning tasks, greet pedestrians, and report activities, while working a shift-based schedule with weekly pay and available pay advances.

Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions and be at least 18 years old. This union-friendly position offers benefits including PTO, uniforms, and company-supported assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English to create basic reports.
• Must be comfortable engaging with pedestrians and providing directions or information.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in assigned zones with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting and assist with city information.
• Remove litter, graffiti, and posters from streets, sidewalks, and public areas.
• Weed bases around tree wells and cracks in sidewalks.
• Wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces such as trash can lids and boxes.
• Complete daily reports of tasks using English language.
