Job summary

Block by Block is seeking a friendly Cleaning Ambassador to keep public spaces clean and safe. This outdoor role offers weekly pay, pay advances, and a supportive environment in Boston.

You will greet pedestrians, assist with directions, remove litter, weeds, and graffiti, and report daily tasks in English. Must be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, but not required; training provided.
• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to walk/stand for an eight-hour shift with breaks.
• Able to work outdoors in all conditions; uniforms provided.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English to create basic reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide high visibility at street level and perform cleaning tasks in the assigned zone.
• Greet pedestrians and provide directions/information.
• Remove litter, graffiti, and posters from streets and sidewalks.
• Pull weeds at tree wells and pavement cracks.
• Wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces as needed.
• Report daily tasks in English using basic reports.
