Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a part-time housekeeping associate to maintain the Lobby, public areas, restrooms, Main Lounge, and Dining Rooms to the standards of campus operations. Under general supervision, you will perform cleaning duties including vacuums, mopping, wipe-downs, and light maintenance tasks, while communicating with guests and staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of some high school plus six months of experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment.
• Ability to communicate with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors the Lobby and public areas to meet cleanliness standards.
• Cleans all public restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Vacuums and mops common areas and stairwells.
• Sweeps and mops Lobby and Dining Room areas with proper cleaning chemicals.
• Replaces light bulbs and maintains housekeeping storage closet inventory.
• Cleans glass doors and windows in public areas.
• Maintains the piano daily and before client functions when needed.
• Assists housekeeping and laundry personnel as needed.
• Reports repairs or damage to equipment or work areas to management.
• Maintains good guest relations and safety practices.
