Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront is seeking a Public Space Attendant to keep lobby areas, restrooms, corridors and entrances clean and welcoming. You will maintain floors, fixtures and carts, assist guests, and deliver amenities as needed, supporting a safe and inviting hotel environment.
The role requires physical stamina, weekend/holiday availability, and the ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment to uphold brand standards.
Status Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime), Union position

Our Public Space Attendant plays a key role in creating a welcoming guest experience by ensuring all public areas of the hotel are consistently clean, organizes, and well-maintained. This position is responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of lobbies, public restrooms, guest corridors, entrances, offices, and other common areas while maintaining the hotel’s high standards of appearance. The Public Space Attendant also provides friendly assistance to guests as needed, responds promptly to requests, and helps create a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for guests and team members alike.

Previous Hotel Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge
High School Degree required.
Skills
Basic knowledge of general cleaning principals, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
Abilities
Able to perform the essential functions as outlined with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to communicate with Management and co-workers.
Great vision to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer printouts.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 175 lbs. continually throughout an 8 hour shift with finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout shift.
Must be comfortable to work with arms raised above head to reach, clean and retrieve items during shift.
Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, bending, mobility throughout entire shift.
Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and routine use of housekeeping equipment and machinery in a hospitality setting.
Inside 80%
Outside 20% with exposure to extreme heat in the summer and extreme cold in the winters.
