Job summary

The Merrill Hotel Muscatine is seeking a Public Area Attendant/Cleaner to help maintain cleanliness across public spaces and guest areas. This role emphasizes excellent guest service, information provision, and efficient cleaning duties to support our guests’ home-away-from-home experience.

You will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by assisting guests with directions and recommendations, while performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to hotel standards.

• Proven customer service ability in hospitality.
• Ability to provide directions and answer guest questions.

Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service to guests by giving directions, making recommendations, or answering questions.
• Ensure lobby restrooms are clean by mopping, dusting, refilling supplies, and replenishing soaps.
• Collect and properly dispose of hotel garbage and recycling.
• Deliver towels, toiletries, or other items to guest rooms as needed.
• Vacuum and maintain public areas.

The Public Area Attendant/Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of public spaces and guest rooms as needed. Public Area Cleaners play an important role in our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

• Provide great customer service to our guests by giving directions, making recommendations, or answering other questions they may have
• Ensuring cleanliness of lobby restrooms by mopping, dusting, refilling paper needs, and replenishing soaps
• Collecting and properly disposing of hotel garbage and recycling
• Delivering towels, toiletries, or other items to guest rooms as needed
• Vacuuming and maintaining public areasOther duties as assigned
