Manatee County Public Library system seeks a paraprofessional for a six-month assignment at Braden River Library in Bradenton. The role involves assisting patrons, shelving, computer assistance, and supporting programs with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service experience, a high school diploma, and some college coursework. Prior library or lead/supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior library experience and shift lead/supervisory experience desired.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist the public at the desk.
• Provide basic library services and guidance on available resources.
• Assist with shelving, holds, and returns; support program activities.
• May lead or assist with public computer classes and instruction.
• Prepare simple monthly/annual reports as assigned.
• Support emergency or disaster response activities as required.
