Job summary

State of Nevada's Division of Social Services seeks a Compliance Investigator I (underfilling a II) in the Southern I&R Unit. Investigations cover SNAP, TANF, Nevada Medicaid, LIHEA, Child Support, and Child Care programs. Work under supervision with informal resolution and/or sanctions determined by higher authorities.

Not a sworn officer. Responsibilities include handling formal and informal complaints, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, preparing reports, and supporting case

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, political science, psychology, social work, business administration or closely related field; OR high school diploma and two years of investigative experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive complaints and determine possible violations and jurisdiction.
• Conduct interviews to obtain information and develop leads.
