State of Nevada's Division of Social Services is recruiting a Compliance Investigator 1 for the Northern I&R Unit to investigate violations of federal and state public assistance programs such as SNAP, TANF, Nevada Medicaid and LIHEA. Incumbents work under close supervision using standard investigative techniques to support compliance determinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of high school diploma and two years of investigative/compliance experience.
• Experience in law enforcement, investigative, regulatory or compliance settings is acceptable.
• Ability to apply standard investigative techniques to determine program compliance.

Responsabilités

• Receive informal and formal complaints and determine jurisdiction under program areas.
• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, employers, and agencies to obtain information.
• Prepare forms/notices and review responses; develop case files and maintain logs.
• Gather evidence (records, statements, financial documents) to support findings.
• Develop final case reports for sanctions or prosecution; appear as required.
• Coordinate informal resolutions and monitor compliance with agreements.
• Provide training on agency rules and services to employers and the public.
