Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Public Service Faculty Unit Manager in Atlanta to lead the Strategic Management and Organizational Effectiveness Unit within the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. You will steer consulting services, supervise professionals, and drive high‑impact projects for state and local governments.

Responsibilities include executive-level planning, client engagement, and development of innovative service offerings, while mentoring staff and ensuring quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public administration, political science, education, finance, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience providing organizational consulting and strategic planning for government or similarly complex organizations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting engagements and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational assessments, strategic planning initiatives, and performance management projects for state and local government clients.
• Provide executive consultation and technical assistance on organizational effectiveness and operational performance.
• Develop strategic plans and data strategies, deliver applied research reports, and present findings to leaders and stakeholders.
• Supervise faculty, staff, and project teams while managing client relationships and contracts.
