Job summary

The City of Moorhead is seeking a Community Service Officer to support residents and respond to a wide range of service calls in the Police Department. You will address animal, parking, traffic, and property concerns while maintaining professional communication and offering practical assistance when it matters most.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with opportunities for salary raises and COLA adjustments per union contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and public-facing skills.
• Knowledge of Moorhead geography helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls for service and complaints including animal and traffic concerns.
• Helps manage animal pound and daily care of animals.
• Patrols the City for ordinance violations and safety.
• Prepares reports and may testify in court.
• Assists with events and traffic control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
