Job summary

City of Moorhead is hiring a Community Service Officer to engage with residents, respond to service calls, and help address animal, parking, traffic and property concerns. You will patrol the community and enforce ordinances while maintaining professional communication and practical assistance when it matters most.

The ideal candidate has experience working with the community, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Moorhead geography, exposure to animals, and awareness of City ordinances.

The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for a Community Service Officer.

Make a meaningful difference in Moorhead every day. In this hands‑on, public‑facing role, you’ll support residents, respond to a wide range of service calls, help address animal, parking, traffic and property concerns, and patrol the community for ordinance violations—all while providing professional and courteous communication and practical assistance when it matters most.

HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Should have experience working with community; excellent communication skills; knowledge of Moorhead geography; experience or exposure with domestic and wild animals; and awareness of City of Moorhead Ordinances.
