Job summary

The Augusta National Golf Club invites you to join the Masters Tournament as a Server, delivering friendly, hospitable and timely service to members, players, caddies and patrons.

You will learn the menu, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain cleanliness while handling opening and closing duties. The schedule may include holidays and weekends at the Augusta, GA venue.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct members, players, caddies and patrons professionally.
  • Know menu and bar selections; relay special requests to kitchen.
  • Take orders, serve courses and suggest desserts or coffee as appropriate.
  • Maintain table settings and ensure cleanliness and presentation.
  • Perform opening, closing and side work duties; attend pre-meal meetings.

The Server is primarily responsible for providing friendly, hospitable and timely service, ensuring all service meets Club standards. Pay Rate: $14.00/hr

Essential Functions of the Job
  • Greets and directs all members, players, caddies and patrons in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintains full knowledge of all menu, bar selections and standardized abbreviations on orders.
  • Places orders into the kitchen and communicates any special requests.
  • Serves food and beverages using the proper sequence of service and serving techniques suggesting desserts, coffee and other menu items after meal.
  • Remains attentive to patrons during the dining experience, providing patrons with any additional items as needed.
  • Sets tables according to restaurant standards.
  • Ensures safety, cleanliness, sanitation and presentation of all restaurant and kitchen spaces.
  • Completes all opening, closing and side work duties.
  • Attends all pre-meal meetings as requested by the Restaurant Supervisor.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all Club business.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to upholding professional standards in the work environment.
  • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
  • Attends mandatory orientation and training sessions.
  • Required to work schedule as defined by department to include holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/Attributes (required unless stated otherwise)
  • Augusta National's practice requires candidates to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior serving experience preferred.
  • Displays interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, rain or other adverse conditions.
  • Requires stooping, bending, lifting and transporting of objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Displays integrity and sincerity interacting with others.
