Job summary

The City of New York’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information seeks a Webmaster to support development, maintenance, and optimization of City websites in a law enforcement context. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with four years of related full-time experience in the specified fields.
  • Associate degree with six years of related full-time experience in the specified fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree with eight years of related full-time experience in the field.
  • Education/experience equivalent to the above options.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support web content with Blogs, RSS/News feeds, audio, video, and social APIs.
  • Coordinate with Bureaus and commands to publish final versions and solutions.
  • Provide input to content owners on design and implementation of features in a government/web environment.
  • Review and audit websites and online content for accuracy and timeliness with policy compliance.
  • Maintain, administer, and enhance websites and related web services.
  • Design and implement compliant links and upgrade recommendations for sites.
