Job summary

The U.S. Probation Department for the Eastern District of New York seeks a Senior IT Specialist (Web Development) to design and maintain intranet and public websites, create multimedia content, and deliver user support.

The role includes collaborating with IT and management to implement web-based solutions and improve efficiency. Responsibilities include handling hardware/ software maintenance, creating templates, and developing SharePoint sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of specialized experience to qualify at entrance level.
• Professional demeanor, teamwork, and strong written and verbal communication.
• Innovative problem solver able to work with management on projects and challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain intranet and external websites; create content and design updates.
• Provide first-line user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and IOS devices.
• Prepare IT-related purchases; manage inventory and property custodial duties.
• Create rich multimedia presentations and edit audio/video files for staff.
• Support audio/video conferencing and document templates in Office apps.
• Document local systems and prepare technical documentation for hardware.
