Job summary

The New York City Police Department seeks a Staff Analyst to support Pre-Employment Services by creating and promoting job postings, screening applicants, and maintaining recruitment databases. You will coordinate with department personnel, respond to inquiries, and assist with outreach activities and events.

Requirements include a master's or a combination of education and experience in budgeting, economics, or public administration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant fields.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related professional experience in budget, accounting, economics, or public administration.
• Associate degree with 4 years of related professional experience.
• High school diploma with 6 years of related professional experience.
• Combination of education/experience with college credits substitution allowed.

Responsibilities

• Create job postings in e-Hire for vacant positions and promote advertisements online and in print.
• Review resumes and verify minimum qualifications and preferred skills for suitability.
• Respond to inquiries from department personnel and prospective employees.
• Maintain multiple databases to capture recruitment activities and partnerships.
• Assist with databases and reporting tools for queries.
• Participate in recruitment events such as Career Days and Job Fairs.
• Manage unit calendar of recruitment events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
