Job summary

Tenable is seeking a passionate cybersecurity Sales Engineer to join the Public Sector team. You will drive technical credibility, deliver tailored demonstrations, and align security outcomes with government objectives in support of sales efforts across the western region.

Based in or near the Austin, TX area, you will collaborate with Sales Representatives, partners, and customers to articulate risk and value while supporting government clients through trials, proofs of value, and RFI/RFP

Qualifications

Experience understanding how government organizations operate, including missions, constraints, procurement, and budgets.
Hands-on cybersecurity experience (Vulnerability Management, Exposure Management, Attack Surface Management, Patch Management, CMDB, EDR, or IDAM).
Clear communication and storytelling to translate technical findings into business risk.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical demonstrations of Tenable's platform tailored to public sector clients.
Assist with evaluations and proofs of value for government buyers.
Translate technical findings into risk and business outcomes for technical and executive audiences.
Address government agency challenges with consultative security insights and budget-aware solutions.
Answer technical questions and support local events and partnerships.
