City of Raleigh is seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to support the insurance program, claims management, and risk mitigation efforts across city departments. The role involves analyzing exposures, maintaining policies, and collaborating to implement risk-reducing strategies for a safer community.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 1–3 years of risk management experience, and strong Excel and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 1–3 years in risk management or related area.
• Equivalent combination of training and/or experience accepted.
• Experience with claims and insurance programs preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide analytical and administrative support of the City’s insurance program.
• Maintain insurance policies and annual renewals.
• Support claims programs for property, liability, and third-party subrogation including communications with stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing and operating risk management software for tracking incidents and exposures.
• Provide trainings on insurance programs and risk awareness to city staff.
• Review contracts for risk and insurance requirements and assess compliance.
• Analyze program data to identify trends and present findings.
• Provide recommendations to assigned program or project teams.
• Process Risk vendor invoices and maintain records and databases.
