Job summary

Empower is seeking a Retirement Plan Counselor to educate North Carolina state and local government employees and educators both on-site in Raleigh and virtually. The role requires strong presentation skills, FINRA credentials, and the ability to manage relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.

You will develop education strategies, drive plan enrollment and deferrals, and coordinate meetings and travel while ensuring timely reporting and territory growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years financial services experience.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Strong relationship building and territory management.
• FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations required.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate communication and education strategies for retirement plan education to NC state and local government employees and educators.
• Drive participants to enroll, increase deferrals, and roll over from prior plans.
• Meet service levels and complete required reporting in systems.
• Build relationships with plan sponsors, contacts, and internal stakeholders to maximize outcomes.
• Manage meeting schedules, including travel booking.
• Provide feedback on communication materials and assist in identifying alternatives.
• Attend client meetings with service team members.
• May participate in finals presentations for new prospects in the territory.
