Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead proposal development for public agency clients across California and beyond. This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, drafting engaging content, and ensuring compliance with brand standards.

The candidate will manage timelines, coordinate with SMEs, and drive continuous improvement of proposal content and templates, with a strong emphasis on quality and client-focused messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, ideally in English, Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
• 3–5 years of marketing and proposal experience, preferably in the B2G market and A/E/C professional services industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret requirements, think strategically, and anticipate customer needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong editing and content organization.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret new solicitations to identify required content/response elements.
• Hold kick-off meetings, track addenda, manage team communications, schedules and status updates.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to identify win themes and strategic messages.
• Plan, assign and manage proposal content development for each pursuit with SMEs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain narratives and forms.
• Develop accurate, engaging content for non-technical requirements.
• Draft proposals, manage reviews and obtain final approvals.
• Proofread, edit, format, and produce final RFX responses as needed.
• Ensure content aligns with templates, brand guidelines and visuals.
• Produce or coordinate production of final RFX responses.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal processes and templates.
• Participate in post-mortems and post-proposal materials.
