Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Specialist to manage the development and delivery of proposals for public agency clients across California.

The role requires collaboration across multiple business lines, leading content development, and ensuring adherence to templates and brand standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with SMEs, drafting executive summaries, and refining proposal content while maintaining content libraries for reuse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, ideally in English, Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
• 3–5 years of marketing and proposal experience, preferably in the B2G market and A/E/C professional services industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret requirements, think strategically, and anticipate customer needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing and content organization abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Office applications and collaboration tools; strong formatting and template skills.
• Experience with maintaining digital assets and marketing data using CRM, CMS, or DAM software.

Responsibilities

• Review solicitations (RFXs) and identify required content/response elements.
• Lead kick-off meetings, track addenda, manage timelines, and provide status updates.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to identify win themes and strategic messages.
• Plan and manage content development for each pursuit with SMEs and contributors.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for narratives, forms, and other information.
• Draft proposals, manage reviews, and obtain final approvals.
• Perform content assembly, proofreading, editing, formatting, and production as needed.
• Ensure compliance with templates, brand guidelines, and presentation standards.
• Produce final RFX responses and support post-proposal activities.
