Job summary

The Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) seeks an experienced Government Contracts Advisor for the Nevada APEX Accelerator team in the Las Vegas office. This full-time, exempt role educates Nevada businesses about federal, state, and local contracting opportunities and supports registrations, certifications, and proposal reviews.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a government, prime contractor or subcontractor procurement environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Educate Nevada businesses about government contracting opportunities.
  • Counsel and assist clients with SAM registrations, certifications, and solicitation analysis.
  • Develop relationships with contracting personnel and coordinate guest speaker requests.
  • Identify opportunities for Nevada APEX Accelerator clients to win contracts.
  • Record client meetings and inquiries with actions taken.
  • Travel to client sites and events with pre-authorization.
  • Plan and present procurement-related classes in person or virtually.
