ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY seeks a Procurement Manager to supervise a team of procurement professionals and direct the agency's contracts for the Commodities and Services program. This role implements purchasing and contract negotiations for all institutional locations.

The ideal candidate will hold CPPO/CPPB/CPM certification or forfeit a strong track record in government procurement, plus a bachelor’s degree in a related field and several years of experience in

• Knowledge of federal and state procurement laws and statutes.
• Understanding of budget development and expenditure control.
• Experience with procurement practices, processes and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Administers departmental purchases in compliance with procurement codes and statutes.
• Supervises and evaluates subordinate staff performance.
• Reviews procurement activities and negotiates contracts before award.
• Coordinates meetings and provides training on procurement topics.
• Remains compliant with applicable laws and departmental policies.
