Job summary

State of Arizona seeks a Procurement Manager to lead a team of procurement professionals within the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry. The role directs contract management for the Commodities and Services program and ensures compliance with state statutes and agency policies.

CPPO/CPPB/CPM certifications are preferred, with responsibility for vendor relations, negotiations, and process improvement across multiple institutional locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of direct procurement experience.
• CPPO/CPPB/CPM certifications preferred.
• Five (5) years of government procurement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers departmental purchases in compliance with the State Procurement Code and ARS.
• Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate staff.
• Reviews procurement activities prior to contract award.
• Interacts with agency officials on procurement issues and provides technical support to institutional offices.
• Directs pre-proposal conferences, evaluations, and negotiation meetings.
• Ensures accuracy of staff work and approves procurement memos and awards.
