The City of Fort Meade is seeking a Procurement & Accounts Payable Specialist to manage centralized purchasing, vendor relations, and the AP lifecycle. You will ensure transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations while supporting city departments with purchasing needs.

The role requires experience with public procurement, BS&A ERP, and strong Excel skills, plus excellent communication and data accuracy. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and public sector exposure.

Formación

• Familiarity with public procurement legal frameworks, competitive bidding thresholds, and sunshine/public records laws.
• Proficiency in municipal ERP software (BS&A) and strong command of Microsoft Excel and automated workflow tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly, tactfully, and effectively with department heads, external vendors, auditors, and elected officials.
• High attention to detail, strict data-entry accuracy, integrity regarding confidential data, and effective communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Administer requisition and purchase order system and verify budget availability.
• Assist with specifications for RFIs, RFPs, ITBs and RFQs.
• Ensure bidding procedures comply with thresholds and public records laws.
• Maintain centralized contract repository; track expirations and renewals.
• Review policy and recommend procurement policy changes.
• Interface with website/app teams for content posted or distributed.
