Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement principles, contract administration, purchasing procedures, and budgetary practices.
• Proficiency with research methods, computer systems, office software, and procurement-related documentation.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to review detailed documents, resolve procurement issues, and maintain accuracy in a compliance-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and liaise between internal departments, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Review and approve purchasing requisitions and purchase orders for compliance with codes, regs, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare bid invitations, requests for proposals, contract documents, procurement reports, and related documentation.
• Analyze bids and proposals, evaluate vendor responses, and recommend successful vendors or contractors.
• Review contract documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement requirements.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and assist in resolving procurement-related questions, concerns, or disputes.
