Job summary

The State of Connecticut's Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services seeks a Qualified Craft Worker (Plumbing and Steamfitting) for CVH in Middletown. Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in tasks in the plumbing and steamfitting trade.
• Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been performing skilled plumbing and steamfitting trades.
• Experience performing technical duties within the plumbing and steamfitting trade area on a military base, aircraft carrier or large compound may be substituted for the General and Special Experience on a year for year basis.
• Possess a Connecticut P1 or P2 license or a Connecticut F1 or F2 license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs highly skilled tasks in accordance with standard plumbing and steamfitting trade practices and codes.
• Assembles, installs and repairs air, gas, water, steam and sewer disposal systems.
• Covers and insulates tanks, pipes and related objects.
• May operate heavy equipment and respond to emergencies at state airports.
• Keeps necessary records and may inspect and repair medical gas systems.
