Job summary

Georgia Department of Community Supervision (DCS) seeks an HR Generalist 2 to support HR transactions, recruitment, benefits, and training. This statewide role centers on Time & Absence, leave administration, retirement processing, and GA@WORK operations in coordination with existing HR processes.

The position emphasizes operational HR support, employee data changes, background verifications, and policy guidance while collaborating with managers and staff to resolve inquiries and improve service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with HR experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Public Admin, or related field preferred.
• Experience with state HR policies, civil service rules, and retirement systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Time & Absence and related HR support.
• Process HR actions (hires, promotions, transfers, separations).
• Maintain personnel records in GA@WORK and ensure compliance.
• Assist management with performance processes and employee inquiries.
• Resolve internal helpdesk tickets and provide data for investigations.
