Qualifications

• Graduation from an ABA-approved law school and admission to the Texas State Bar.
• 2–3 years of full‑time legal practice or equivalent responsibilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive research and writing on state and federal matters before the Commission.
• Draft rules, evaluate legislation, and perform complex administrative law work.
• Represent the agency at administrative hearings.
• Provide legal advice in meetings with clients, staff and the public.
• Duty involves travel up to 10% within Texas.
