The City of Mason is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain a wide range of municipal vehicles and equipment in Mason, OH. Your work will include preventive maintenance, engine repairs, welding, and diagnostics to ensure safe operation of city fleets.

You will need ASE certifications, a CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement, and a clean driving record. This full-time role requires reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Competenze

• Possess current ASE Auto and Truck certifications; automotive repair credentials preferred.
• Four years of motor vehicle work experience or equivalent training.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License with good driving record.
• Able to read and follow instructions, work with minimal supervision.

Mansioni

• Inspect, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on city vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out engine overhauls, troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication as needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Maintain snow/ice removal equipment and perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic work.
• Road test vehicles after repairs and interpret safety rules and manuals.
