Job summary

OpenGov is seeking an ERP Solutions Engineer to guide local government finance teams through evaluating and implementing OpenGov's financial solutions.

In this role, you'll conduct discovery with government finance teams, translate their accounting workflows into system configurations, and deliver compelling demos that show how OpenGov modernizes budgeting, general ledger management, procurement, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, financial systems, ERP implementation, or public sector finance advisory.
• Knowledge of GASB, fund accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to communicate accounting concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 35%.
• Experience with local government finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions with government finance teams to map current accounting practices.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations linking OpenGov capabilities to public sector challenges.
• Serve as the accounting and finance expert during prospect evaluations and configurations.
• Design and execute proof-of-concept activities reflecting government scenarios.
• Support RFI, RFP, and RFQ development with finance requirements.
• Provide GASB compliance and financial reporting guidance within the OpenGov platform.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Professional Services on customer feedback.
• Create process documentation and configuration guides for implementation handoffs.
