Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist to lead migration of legacy data into a modern SaaS platform. You will map data structures, perform ETL, validate post-migration data, and secure PII handling.

You will engage with clients to understand processes, translate workflows into data mappings, and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful, compliant data conversions across engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with data conversion, data migration, and ETL processes.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and executing ETL/data integration workflows.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially data analytics (ACCESS, SQL, SPSS).
• Ability to understand state service delivery systems and federal regulations.
• Experience coordinating with cross-organizational partners on data requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess legacy data sources and design conversion strategies for SaaS implementation.
• Perform ETL using appropriate tools and validate data post-migration.
• Lead client meetings to gather requirements and map data workflows.
• Collaborate with PMs, developers, and QA for seamless integration.
• Document data management strategies and governance artifacts.
• Support data governance, quality, lineage, and stewardship activities.
