Job summary

Public Consulting Group is hiring a Data Conversion Specialist to lead legacy data migration into a modern SaaS platform. You will analyze data sources, design conversion strategies, perform ETL, and ensure data integrity.

You’ll engage clients to understand processes and map data to the new system, guiding best practices throughout the project. You will collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA teams, document data management approaches, and contribute to internal training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with data conversion, data migration, and ETL processes, including extracting data from legacy systems, transforming data to meet target model requirements, and loading data into new platforms.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and executing ETL or data integration workflows, using custom scripts, integration tools, or database-driven approaches.
• Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially data analytics (ACCESS, SQL, SPSS).

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Conversion: Assess legacy data sources and design conversion strategies for SaaS implementation.
• Client Engagement & Leadership: Lead client meetings to gather requirements and map data dependencies.
• Collaboration: Work with PMs, developers, and QA to ensure seamless integration and provide training as needed.
• Documentation & Methodology: Create and maintain data management docs and contribute to training materials.
