Job summary

Amazon Web Services in Boston, MA is seeking a Solutions Architect II to act as a trusted technical adviser to State and Local Government and Higher Education customers in New England. You will design cloud architectures, lead architecture reviews, and translate complex business needs into actionable cloud solutions.

You will collaborate with account teams and AWS engineering groups to ensure successful cloud adoption, while developing and sharing best practices with the Solutions Architecture

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 2+ years of technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, or data & analytics.
• 4+ years of IT development or consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud architecture solutions for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers with security, scalability and performance in mind.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and PoC projects to demonstrate cloud possibilities.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer needs into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with account teams and AWS groups to scope engagements and ensure customer success.
• Educate customers and teams by delivering technical content and best practice guidance.
