Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Practice Customer Engineer specializing in infrastructure migrations to accelerate government and education workloads with VMware and cloud migration expertise. You will partner with sales teams and platform engineers to design migration strategies, demonstrate proof‑of‑concepts, and ensure security and compliance while driving technical wins for large‑scale transformations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience designing and proposing a migration strategy using Google Cloud differentiators and other cloud providers.
10 years of experience in data center offloading leading to cloud migrations of enterprise workloads including VMs and Containers, VMware clusters, and Oracle technology and applications.
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

Design the architecture and the migration strategy of enterprise workloads including VMware technology, and test and propose differentiating solutions to maximize customer value.
Support the account teams on the solution design with the architecture including VMware workloads and the detailed project planning and estimation.
Size the architecture and migration costs, including software licensing and network traffic and security, to support the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)/Return on Investment (ROI) estimation.
