Oxnard School District is seeking a motivated Buyer to join its Business Services team. You will coordinate procurement of supplies, equipment, materials, and services, review requests, research options, and ensure cost-effective purchasing aligned with district policies.

You will evaluate bids, build vendor relationships, and support contract compliance, contributing to responsible stewardship of public funds and smooth district operations.

Qualifications

• Four years of purchasing experience, including coordination and buying of specific commodities, preferably with a public agency, with one year of lead responsibility.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by college-level coursework in purchasing, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the procurement of supplies, equipment, materials, and services in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and District policies; review requests, research options, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Assist with competitive procurement processes, including RFQs, informal and formal bids, and RFPs; prepare bid documents and support contract award recommendations.
• Communicate with suppliers, research purchasing options, resolve pricing and service concerns; ensure documentation and compliance with purchasing requirements.
