Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree with 24 accounting credits and four years of accounting or auditing experience, 18 months in an administrative/managerial capacity.
• New York State CPA license and at least 18 months of relevant accounting/auditing experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct risk-based audit programs to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
• Conduct financial, operational, and vendor audits to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Draft audit reports and monitor the implementation of recommendations.
• Liaise between the agency and external oversight entities and manage special projects as assigned.
• Engage in ongoing knowledge development and apply rules, regulations, and best practices.
