Job summary

City of New York seeks a Management Auditor II to supervise audit staff, conduct complex audits, and ensure compliance with state and agency rules. The role includes desk and field audits of Medicaid providers, resolving document issues, and providing guidance to junior staff.

The incumbent will participate in pre/post audit conferences, oversee training, and perform performance evaluations. Hours are 9AM–5PM; assignment level II eligibility requires experience, CPA, or CIA credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 credits in auditing, accounting, finance, economics, statistics, law, or related fields.
• One year of professional experience in performance, financial, internal, or IT auditing per GAGAS, or a relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise audit staff performing cost-benefit and analyses; monitor audits for efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct first-level reviews of draft/final Audit Reports for compliance with NYS rules.
• Perform complex desk audits of Durable Medical Equipment and field audits of Medicaid providers.
• Resolve issues with missing or incorrect provider submissions; guide staff and alert management as needed.
• Participate in pre/post audit conferences with providers and OMIG; assist in training staff.
• Rate and evaluate staff performance using standardized forms.
