Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow seeks a Project Manager for Public Sector programs. You will deliver digital solutions and cloud migrations in hybrid delivery models, collaborating with civil servants and department leads to convert requirements into actionable plans.

You’ll manage budgets, timelines and stakeholder engagement while maintaining governance and risk controls. The role offers a path to senior leadership within a global technology consultancy.

Qualifications

• Public sector digital delivery or consulting project experience.
• Familiarity with GDS/public sector standards and procurement guidelines.
• Proficient in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional PM frameworks (PRINCE2, PMP, or APM).
• Experience coordinating third-party suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of digital solutions, software and cloud migrations using Agile, Hybrid or Waterfall methods.
• Build trusted relationships with public sector clients and translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Manage project financials, resources, SOW compliance, burn rates and margins.
• Establish governance, identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies (RAID).
• Lead multi-disciplinary pods and foster a transparent, high-performing delivery culture.
