Abel Personnel is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Assistant Treasurer for a full-time, direct-hire role in the Harrisburg area. The position leads day-to-day accounting operations, supports budgeting and reporting, and supervises accounting staff.

Strong GAAP knowledge, budgeting experience, and leadership capabilities are required; municipal accounting exposure is a plus but not mandatory. Salary ranges align with local public sector finance expectations and provide growth

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience with financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparation.
• Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
• Ability to oversee accounting processes, internal controls, and timely reporting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, reporting, and long-term financial planning.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
