Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly applicable accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is strongly preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, improve processes, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Processes accounts receivable and cash receipts, prepares bank deposits, and ensures accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Prepares and posts journal entries and supports month end close activities in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitors project and grant activity to ensure compliance, appropriate billing, and accurate financial reporting.
• Performs reconciliations for assigned accounts and investigates variances; prepares adjusting entries as needed.
• Supports financial transparency and compliance by collaborating with departments across CMAP and engaging with external partners.
• Assists with maintaining financial data within CMAP’s enterprise resource planning system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
• Contributes to process optimization, internal control enhancements, and improvements to ERP functionality.
