Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Five years of accounting experience preferably in governmental accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes journal entries.
• Assists in monthly and year end closing.
• Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts.
• Prepares monthly financial reports.
• Assists in preparing analysis of accounts.
• Assists in administering accounts payable.
• Monitors and resolves bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
• Prepares bank reconciliations.
• Prepares bi-weekly payroll, payroll reports and payments.
• Assists with audits and internal controls.
• Assists in budget preparation and administration.
• Acts as back-up for payroll and accounts payable.
