Gila County Community College seeks a qualified accountant to provide support for processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information in accordance with policies. The role includes post-award grant administration and related accounting activities to assist management and departments.

The position emphasizes budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and adherence to GASB and FASB standards while collaborating with multiple departments and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and two years accounting experience, preferably in public sector accounting.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to perform essential duties.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex accounting activities: review and analyze transactions, reconcile accounts, and analyze financial data.
• Assist in budget preparation, review data, and update accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist the annual financial statements and coordinate with outside auditors for the annual audit.
• Post-award grant administration: budget and expense analysis, invoicing, reporting, and SEFA preparation.
• Oversee asset management including tracking, depreciation and disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
