Pasadena City College is seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as a senior technical accounting staff member in the Fiscal Services Department. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Three years of experience in an accounting, finance, or auditing position.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical accounting staff and provide guidance to Fiscal Services staff.
• Analyze and interpret information from federal, state, and local agencies and implement new standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and financial statements.
• Review budget changes, journal entries, and year-end entries for accuracy.
• Maintain chart of accounts and coordinate with IT on systems and reports.
• Lead IT projects for Fiscal Services and train staff on financial systems.
