Job summary

State of Missouri's Division of Administrative Services Accounting Unit in Jefferson City seeks an accountant who can reconcile, analyze, interpret, and communicate accounting data and create Cash Analysis and Allocation/Expenditure reports.

The role supports Medicaid Administrative Billing, prepares items for the ACFR & Leases, and coordinates payroll corrections with the Office of Administration, while contributing to the new State of Missouri Accounting System.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and communicate findings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, analyze, interpret, and communicate accounting data.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute Cash Analysis, Overtime, Allocation/Expenditure reports.
• Complete and process Medicaid Administrative Billing.
• Gather and communicate information for the ACFR & Leases.
• Liaise for payroll corrections with Office of Administration.
• Process monthly FX documents.
• Update spreadsheets to track personnel expenditures.
• Assist DMH with SAM II Inventory Subsystem and data warehouse views.
• Work on the new State of Missouri Accounting System.
